And some elaboration on my previous comment: Wolverine could keep cutting the symbiote up, over and over and over — and probably never get tired, due to his healing factor. So I could just see the fight going on forever. It might be boring, even. But he could hold him off long enough for Peter Parker or Xavier or somebody who knows about the sonic vulnerability to come in and finish the symbiote off. The symbiote could only win by sneaking up on him (unlikely with heightened senses) and taking over his mind (he is a bit weak-minded, telepathic wise, but very strong-willed). It’s kind of a draw in the middle of no where, but in the “real” fake Marvel world, the good guys would eventually win when reinforcements came.
